Whole-Person Wellness Guide
The heart behind Mystic Therapist and Mindful Works — part seasoned therapist, part nervous-system nerd, part gentle guide for humans who are tired of pretending they have it all together. With more than 25 years of experience in behavioral health, education, trauma-informed care, and community wellness, Courtney has spent her career helping people feel safer in their bodies, clearer in their minds, and more connected to themselves.
The Author's Story
Courtney holds a B.S. in Psychology from Arizona State University and a Master of Education in Counseling from Northern Arizona University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona, a Certified PBIS Coach, trauma certified, and currently serves as the Clinical Director of an integrated behavioral health agency.
She is also a lifelong book lover, sentence collector, and margin-scribbler with an English minor she proudly earned, even if she declined to pay the extra fee to make it official on the diploma. After years of collecting books, loving stories, and staying up far too late for “just one more chapter,” Courtney is delighted to finally put those literary muscles to work in a way that blends language, healing, humor, and human growth.
Over the years, Courtney has worked in just about every corner of the helping world — from family support and school counseling to therapy, behavioral consultation, clinical supervision, program leadership, and advocacy. Her background includes working with trauma, substance use recovery, general mental health, serious mental illness (SMI) and severe emotional disturbance (SED), Autism, developmental disabilities, special needs populations, behavioral assessment, and intervention.
Alongside her clinical training, Courtney brings a more grounded and soulful toolbox to the work, including certifications in sound healing, mindfulness practices, somatic work, and breathwork. Her approach is practical, compassionate, a little mystical, and deeply rooted in whole-person wellness.
Through Mystic Therapist on YouTube and Spotify, Courtney shares meditations, somatic exercises, breathwork, and therapeutic tools for people who want healing to feel accessible, human, and maybe even a little magical. She especially loves supporting helpers, healers, parents, professionals, and everyday overthinkers who are learning how to care for themselves with the same tenderness they offer everyone else.
The Author's Vision
At her core, Courtney believes healing does not have to be perfect, polished, or intimidating. It can begin with one breath, one honest moment, one tiny act of self-compassion, or one page in a journal.
Her mission is to promote whole-person wellness, sustainable self-care, and empowered recovery for individuals, families, communities, and the helpers who hold space for others every day.
